I'd recommend a blend between the two. The new one is quite busy, but the old one looks an awful lot like the original Wolfwrath. Sooooo, CRITIQUE TIME!

Here's what the original Wolfwrath looks like: img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20…

The old design looks almost identical to Wolfwrath, with the only difference being the black accents. The new design is DEFINITELY more creative, but it has its own issues.
For one, the neon green hair is absurdly bright, but it could work if it looked more like the reds of his fur. The brightness of the green looks MUCH better in jewel form, but as I've said, Wolfwrath itself is already a red wolf with a green jewel on its forehead. From what I've read, Hazart seems to be a more mature character, so the bright green hair gives him too much of a teenage feel. You could lose the green altogether and Hazart would look fine. Right now, the new designs main problem is too many colors. You have green, purple, red, pink, and yellow, which all contrast so much with each other that it makes the character look overdone. Personally, I think the most problematic color is the green. The purple and yellow look much better with the chosen shade of red, fitting almost into a split-complement color scheme. There's also the issue of that pink belly. To stick with the red-black/white-yellow-purple, you could make it any of those colors I just listed. However, a black or white belly would be way too glaring, so a subdued purple may work better. Instead, you could make the pink into a reddish maroon, but that could tone down some of the contrast you were going for. The changes you make are ultimately up to you.

My final verdict: Take the final design, lose that bright green hair, make the belly either darker or golden, and make the forehead crystal purple or gold. Change the crystal's shape if you feel like it.
